| is proud to offer some of the finest golf and executive accessories
available anywhere. For our custom metal products, the traditional Old
World craftsmanship we employ in our die striking processes ensures
a product of unsurpassed quality and detail.
Die Striking is a process that does not involve the melting of metal.
Rather, the metal is "cold struck" under extremely high pressures (up
to 1,100 tons) into a hardened steel die bearing the desired image.
Because the metal is not broken down by melting and because the metal
surface is improved by the striking process, the final appearance is
exceptionally fine, showing every detail.
The process starts with blank shapes being punched out from long metal
strips. These "blanks" are laid individually on the die and pressed
slowly into the die cavity by a hydraulic press. Any excess material
squeezed out by the die cavity is then trimmed away by the same press
tool that created the blanks. After any soldering or welding, the die
struck items are ready for our hand finishing processes.
A Word About Tooling Charges
Tooling charges to create dies are based on time and material which
depend on the complexity of design and the size of the die. All of our
dies are crafted in-house by master engravers and modelers who pay strict
attention to detail.
It is important to understand that our dies begin with artwork. The
better the reference provided by you, the more accurate and detailed
our dies can be. Without exact artwork, our artists and engravers will
interpret material submitted using their experience and discretion.
Our art department will work with you to develop and correct an art
layout at no charge; however, we request that you carefully examine
the final art layout before approval. These designs are cut in metal,
and changes from approved art are difficult (ranging from laborious
to impossible). After the dies are cut, the cost of changes from approved
artwork must be born by the customer.
