Die, and Product Proof Preparation |
1.
Tooling for our products can be created by a variety of techniques
and tooling charges vary with size, method of manufacture, and type
of art and die modeling required.

1.
Black and white camera ready artwork.
2. Vector art in Adobe Illustrator 8.0 or Corel Draw 8.0.
3. Bitmap art — black and white, no shading, not anti-aliased
(TIF, JPG, EPS).
4. Scans should be larger than actual size and at least 300
dpi. |

We
can also accept laser printed art at a minimum of 600DPI and at
a scale of at least 4:1. We will develop art for jobs with reference
material not complying with these guidelines, but additional development
costs may be charged. For three-dimensional projects, additional
reference material must be provided including one or more of the
following: photographs, actual product, high quality line drawings,
or blueprints.

After basic artwork size and layout is approved, a pre-production
sample is prepared. A pre-production proof is always submitted for
approval except for Markit Express® and for reverse side imprint
for stock holiday ornaments. (A sample will be provided for either
of these products only when requested.) Pre-production proofs are
provided as follows:
a. solid pewter product–actual pewter product.
b. die struck product–soft metal proof from unhardened die.
Production will not begin without proof approval.

Our tooling and die development charge is a one time charge to cover
all dies and production molds. This charge does not repeat with
reorders if reorder is for same product with no changes. We maintain
all models, molds, dies, and tools as our property for your exclusive
use. |

Time |
After
pre-production sample has been approved, we will begin production
to meet your needs. Production times vary depending on the type
of product ordered and your specific requirements. Please be specific
about your exact use date so that we can schedule and ship most
efficiently. |

| Overruns
and Underruns |
We
make every attempt to ship the exact quantity ordered, but we reserve
the right to ship and invoice 5% over/under quantity ordered. |

Acceptable
minimum is lowest quantity listed for each product as described
in catalog. Some exceptions can be made for specific products. Please
contact Markit for specific requests. |
| Mechanical
and Laser Engraving |
Most
of our metal products can be mechanically engraved by diamond cut
engraving or deep rout engraving. If not specified within each product
category, please request information. We cannot laser engrave metal
products, but we can laser engrave our leather, wood, and synthetic
marble products. If not detailed within each product category, please
request specific information. |
